Chennai: Tamil Nadu is working on a new industrial policy which would be compliant to the current GST taxation system, according to a top state government official.
The state industrial policy is based on the old VAT taxation system and a new policy is required that meets the current GST system, according to N Muguganandam, the principal secretary in the state industries department.
The new policy would aim at pushing industrial growth under the GST regime, he explained.
